Are you having a hard time finding your NAICS code to add to your search preferences?
The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS, pronounced N-A-K-E-S) was developed under the direction and guidance of the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) as the standard for use by Federal statistical agencies in classifying business establishments for the collection, tabulation, presentation, and analysis of statistical data describing the U.S. economy.
NAICS codes are organized as a hierarchy meaning that the more digits in the code the more specific the description or meaning. The top level codes have 2 digits and goes down to 6 digits. For Example one of the top level categories has code "11 - Agriculture, Forestry, Fishing and Hunting"so a category of "112 - Animal Production and Aquaculture"would come under the "11 - Agriculture, Forestry, Fishing and Hunting"category, but would be more specific.
Please note to help prevent confusion, our system works with up to 4 digits.
At the link below you can look view the specific breakdowns of the NAICS codes. As always, we will be more than happy to assist you to pin point your specific NAICS code (s) so feel free to contact our office.
